COS-LEP Phase 1 and 2

Phase 1 and 2 will establish existing knowledge about outcomes and methodology used in previous quantitative and qualitative research studies that have looked at the treatment of human leptospirosis.

To explore outcomes, a systematic review of outcomes from previously published quantitative and qualitative studies will be undertaken.

In addition, systematic Cochrane Library reviews will be completed exploring methodology of all known clinical trials for human leptospirosis treatment, and determine efficacy and safety outcomes reported to date for evaluations of therapeutic interventions.

Systematically reviewing all previously published literature will provide a comprehensive list of previously identified and published study outcomes of interest identify.

This groups can then be further classified into thematic domains, and this initial list of outcomes can provide the basis for options to put forward at later agreement stages.
